Then we need to randomly add pvp power for no reason and then dump it just as quickly. Is PvE geared scaled down in PvP? Community General Discussion. Technically you have discovered the one big flaw with the current gear idea for patch 9. PvP gear is scaled down in PvE but not vice versa. Right that seems a better plan. Tazavesh has the BiS boots and ring for Locks. I and other players conjectured that in beta and it will still hold true in patch 9.
Some pve gear has vers though Vers should be pvp specific. I think we should take it a step further and give it a different name. Gear and skills will be different.
I take my Stamblade into cyrodiil all the time with a PvE build. All i do is swap out a few skills and maybe a monster set and im good to go. I just deal with not having any Crit Resist. I use the dressing room add on to change builds on the fly. You can only be "serious" in one of the two modes with one toon.
You can play both modes on a toon no problem. I use my one character Stamina DK for both, it took a lot of skill points however. With the steeply diminishing returns on CP, and the current CP cap, it's not unrealistic to have a character that's highly capable in PvP and end-game competitive in pve, but it will require completely different gear sets and loadouts, and a big surplus of skill points.
Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you. My main is also my main crafter, so not a "big surplus of skill points" by a long shot. I am leveling a warden and a templar that could pretty much be healers though and I'm wondering about the Dressing Room add-on. However In PVE? PVP is the future of all games, but thats not my point, the point here is that pvp in wow catered to a massive player base, and it used to be that PVP players did their own thing, and PVE players did theirs.
Now the PVE players are still in their sweet spot, while the pvp players have to go and play with them and raid something that very many players dislike doing to be able to do the content they enjoy.
Once content is old Wpvp and pvp stays alive. God forbid something remain a challenge or people encourage learning mechanics on there own to make something actually fun. I knew this would happen and its why I was so vocal about the need for a pvp stat. After MoP we lost so many good players and the game was overly dumbed down and ruined most aspects of pvp.
